Advanced Carbon Materials

Materials become structure.

High-performance fibre, organised into the forms ACM supplies.

Para-aramidStaple fibre organised into a spun yarn.
OPF · oxidized PANStaple fibre consolidated into a nonwoven body.
Material platform

A portfolio of advanced material systems.

ACM works across high-performance fibers, carbon materials, and application-specific processed forms. A welding spatter sheet is one product built from this platform — not the platform itself.

Aramid

Para- and meta-aramid fibers for heat resistance, reinforcement, protective applications, and engineered textile or felt forms.

Oxidized PAN Fiber

Flame-resistant OPF in staple, nonwoven, and intermediate forms for heat, safety, acoustic, and carbon-material pathways.

Carbon Felt

Carbon and graphite felt development for energy-storage electrodes and other high-temperature functional applications.

PAN Fiber

Polyacrylonitrile fiber as a functional material and precursor platform for further thermal and carbon processing.

UHMWPE

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene for lightweight, high-strength applications where specific performance matters.

MCMB

Mesocarbon microbeads under development for battery-anode and electromagnetic-shielding applications.

Applications

Materials become valuable in use.

We develop material pathways around the performance problem — heat, protection, lightweighting, reinforcement, energy storage, processability, and reliable supply.

01

Heat & workplace safety

OPF-based welding protection and custom on-site forms for sparks, spatter, thermal cutting, and confined work areas.

02

Mobility & transportation

Target application areas in transportation: automotive, railway, and aircraft seating, heat protection, acoustic performance, and lightweight structures.

03

Energy storage

Carbon felt and carbonaceous materials for redox-flow batteries, advanced batteries, gas-diffusion layers, and anode-material development.

04

Protection & reinforcement

Target application areas for aramid and high-strength fibers: ballistic protection, brake and tire reinforcement, composites, and industrial protection.

Aircraft, railway, ballistic, and energy-storage uses are target application areas and development directions. They do not indicate qualification, certification, compliance, or approved supply status.

Overview

Circular pathways

Performance first. Recover value where the material allows it.

ACM is developing recycling, reprocessing, and upcycling pathways for high-performance materials including OPF and aramid. The goal is not a generic green claim: it is to recover valuable material, control its form and quality, and return it to demanding applications where performance remains the deciding factor.

Resource Center

Technical information you can inspect — and cite.

Product catalogs, material notes, specifications, process information, and company materials are organized as versioned resources. The same approved sources ground Ask ACM answers.

Company

A material startup built around science, process, and market access.

Founded in 2015 in Japan, ACM researches, develops, manufactures, and sells high-performance carbon and functional materials. The team combines materials science, industrial engineering, manufacturing, and business-development experience to move from raw material and process design to application-specific supply.

Work with ACM

Tell us the material problem, not just the part number.

For product supply, custom dimensions, new material applications, samples, or technical discussion, send us the use case and requirements. We can start from a known grade or work backward from the application.
